[art + design] + the web + a van = DID

Hello. My name is Jamie Purches.
I'm an art and interactive design director specializing in GUI, Flash and graphic design. I'm based in Vancouver, Canada and I'd like to welcome you to my design portfolio which features some of the work I've done for clients and employers alike.

Over the years I've been lucky enough to have contributed interactive design services on projects for the NHL's Vancouver Canucks, Germany based, but globally renowned Nero AG, Hewlett Packard and Dish Jeans. I've been even luckier that Dave Kreut of Level Up has been there to provide clean, effective front and back end development behind a lot of my interactive designs. This allows me to offer top-notch, fully functional design packages that can include everything from complete corporate branding to printed stuff to websites with content management systems.

I like to call this thing Donkey Ink Design -- or "DID". I thought it would be better and more fun than just using my name because sometimes it's just me, and other times it's me and Dave, and then other times it's just me again.

Also, for those of you who don't know me and may be thinking, "What's with the vans?" when seeing them for the first time, please don't begin pondering the possible high level design concepts behind them because there aren't any. Vans are just dead cool. Of course, I'm referring to vans from an era before the word "minivan" was coined. There isn't much more to say about it. And, no...I don't own a van, mini or otherwise. Have you seen the price of gas these days?
